Woman Assaults Police constables at Kondhwa Police Station

A shocking incident occurred at the Kondhwa Police Station in Pune on Tuesday evening, where a 18-year-old woman, Falguni Kumaran Pillai, allegedly assaulted two female police constables. The incident took place when Falguni was summoned to the police station for questioning in connection with a two-year-old theft case.

According to the police, Falguni arrived at the police station with her parents and began arguing with Police Sub-Inspector Balaji Digoole. When a female police constables tried to calm her down, Falguni allegedly bit her hand and scratched it with her nails. She also kicked another female officer in the stomach.

The police have registered a case against Falguni, her parents, Kumaran Jayraman Pillai (48) and Shital Kumaran Pillai (46), and a 14-year-old boy for assaulting the police officers and causing damage to government property. The family allegedly threatened the police officers and tried to intimidate them.

Falguni’s father, Kumaran, allegedly threatened the police officers, saying, “We will file a complaint against you and get you fired.” The family also damaged a printer at the police station.

The police have charged the family under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for assaulting public servants, causing damage to government property, and obstructing public servants from performing their duties.

The incident is being investigated by Assistant Police Inspector Mohasin Pathan. The Kondhwa Police Station has registered a case against the family and is taking further action .
