Two Notorious Bike Thieves Arrested by Sahakarnagar Police
In a significant crackdown on vehicle theft, the Sahakarnagar Police have arrested two notorious bike thieves and recovered eight stolen two-wheelers worth ₹2,40,000.
The accused, identified as Salim Shaikh (21) and Kavid Alam Samyad (19), were caught by the police while they were trying to sell a stolen Yamaha bike. During interrogation, they confessed to stealing the bike from Sahakarnagar two months ago.
Further investigation revealed that the duo was involved in six cases of vehicle theft, and cases have been registered against them under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
The police have also recovered a total of eight stolen two-wheelers worth ₹2,40,000 from the accused. The bikes were stolen from various parts of the city, and the police are still investigating the matter.
The arrests were made possible due to the efforts of the Sahakarnagar Police team, led by Senior Police Inspector Chhagan Kapase, under the guidance of Additional Commissioner of Police Praveen Kumar Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police Smarana Patil, and Assistant Commissioner of Police Rahul Aawre.
