Tragedy at Singhad City School: Worker Electrocuted Due to Negligence
Pune: A 49-year-old worker, Santosh Pandurang Malvadkar, died due to electrocution while washing a school bus at Singhad City School in Kondhwa on October 18, 2024. The incident occurred due to a faulty compressor without earthing.
Santosh’s wife, Sunita Santosh Malvadkar (41), filed a complaint at the Kondhwa police station. Based on her complaint, the police have registered a case against the school’s campus director, Dhananjay Tukaram Mandlik, transport supervisor, Daulat Dattatray Dhok, electrical supervisor, Vijay Sampat Kumbhar, and other responsible officials.
According to the police, the compressor and electrical connections were not properly maintained, leading to Santosh’s death. The police investigation is being conducted by Assistant Police Inspector Rajesh Usagawkar.
