Thieves Strike Again: ₹1.80 Lakh Stolen from Passenger’s Bag on Delhi-Pune Flight

In yet another shocking incident of theft on a flight, a passenger’s bag was stolen from on a Delhi-Pune flight, with ₹1.80 lakh in cash missing.
According to the police, the incident occurred on January 12, when Prasan Nahar, a 42-year-old resident of Yamunanagar, Nigdi, was traveling from Delhi to Pune on an Air India flight. Nahar had checked in his bag at the New Delhi Metro Station counter, and when he collected it at the Pune airport, he found that the bag had been opened and the cash was missing.
This is the third incident of theft on a flight in recent times. Earlier, two cases of theft were reported on Dubai-Pune flights, where passengers’ bags were opened and valuables were stolen.
The police have registered a case at the Viman Nagar Police Station and are investigating the incident. The Air India authorities have also been informed, and an inquiry is underway.
The incident has raised concerns about the security of passengers’ luggage on flights and the need for airlines to take stricter measures to prevent such incidents.
