A horrific incident occurred in Junai Sangvi, Pune, where a teacher was brutally attacked with a hammer by an unknown assailant in a lift. The teacher, who provides private tuition, had visited a student’s residence at Panchale Nagar around 4 pm on Thursday. As she entered the lift along with the student’s mother, the assailant suddenly appeared and attacked her from behind, striking her head, back, and shoulders with the hammer. The attacker then snatched her gold chain, worth approximately ₹60,000, and fled the scene.

The teacher filed a complaint at the Sangvi Police Station, and the police have launched an investigation. They have reviewed CCTV footage from the area and identified the suspect, who is now being pursued. The police are working to apprehend the assailant and bring them to justice.
