Swargate Rape Accused Arrested, Posed as Police Officer to Target Victims
Pune, March 6 – In a shocking turn of events, the Pune Police have arrested Dattatray Ramdas Gade, the accused in the Swargate rape case, after a 72-hour search operation. Investigations have revealed that Gade had been posing as a police officer to target his victims.
According to the police, Gade had been in contact with several women, offering to guide them on police recruitment. His phone records showed his presence at various bus stations, including Swargate, Shivajinagar, Pune Station, and Solapur.
The police have registered six cases against Gade, who is suspected of targeting crowded areas in the city to commit crimes. Further investigations are underway.
The arrest comes as a relief to the citizens of Pune, who were shocked by the brutal rape incident at Swargate bus depot. The police have assured that they will take strict action against the accused and ensure justice for the victim.
