Sinhagad Police Arrests 27-Year-Old with Illegal Firearms

The team of Sinhagad Police made a significant arrest, seizing two country-made pistols worth ₹80,000 and two live cartridges worth ₹2,000 from an externed accused.

The arrested accused is identified as Balu Dhondiba Dhebe (27) resident of Ram Mandir, Janata Vasahat, Pune.

The arrest was made possible by a team led by Police Sub-Inspector Santosh Bhadvalkar, Aba Uttarkar, Police Constables Anna Kekan, Uttam Taru, Police Naik Rahul Olekar, Shiva Kshirsagar, and team.

Acting on a tip-off, the team intercepted Dhebe near Vision School, Service Road, Pune. When questioned, Dhebe provided evasive and unsatisfactory answers, leading the police to suspect that he was involved in illicit activities.

A search revealed the illegal firearms and cartridges. He was subsequently arrested and taken into custody.

The operation was carried out under the guidance of senior police officials, including Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar, Joint Police Commissioner Ranjan Kumar Sharma, Additional Commissioner of Police Pravin Kumar Patil, and Deputy Commissioner of Police Sambhaji Kadam and senior Police Inspector Uttam Bhajnawale of Sinhagad Police station.
