The journey of every individual has a story—be it a hero or a villain. But the story of those who turn ‘Raanti’ (wild) due to unforeseen events often grips the audience’s imagination. Drawing on this intriguing premise, ‘Raanti’, a Marathi action film, tells the tale of Vishnu, a man pushed to the edge by circumstances. Produced by Punit Balan Studios and directed by Samit Kakkad, the film is set for theatrical release on November 22.

Director Samit Kakkad describes Raanti as a blockbuster movie filled with compelling characters, intense action, emotional depth, and a riveting revenge drama. He draws parallels between Vishnu’s character and the fierce Narasimha Avatar of Lord Vishnu, renowned for its ferocity in destroying evil. The story unfolds in Patalpur, showcasing Vishnu’s terrifying transformation into a fearless force of reckoning.

The film introduces Marathi cinema’s own Angry Young Man in the form of actor Sharad Kelkar. His rugged, action-hero persona has been teased in the film’s posters, teasers, and trailers, capturing audiences’ attention. Kelkar’s portrayal of Vishnu, a man who rises against threats to his family and love, promises to keep viewers on edge.

Raanti film boasts a powerhouse cast, including Sanjay Narvekar, Santosh Juvekar, Nagesh Bhosale, Jaywant Wadkar, Sanjay Khapre, Chhaya Kadam, Akshaya Gurav, Kailas Waghmare, Madhav Devchakke, Sushant Shelar, Hitesh Bhojraj, Sanvi Srivastava, Nayana Mukhe, and many others. The technical crew further elevates the film’s grandeur. The screenplay by Hrishikesh Koli, music by Ajit Parab, and background music by Amar Mohile enhance the cinematic experience. Aejaz Gulab has choreographed the gripping action scenes, while Sethu Sriram’s cinematography captures the film’s ‘larger-than-life’ appeal.

The technical finesse continues with Ashish Mhatre’s editing, Sujith Kumar’s choreography, Sachin Lovalekar’s costume design, and Santosh Gayke’s stage design. The lyrics by Mangesh Kangane, sound design by Mayur Mochemadkar, and art direction by Prashant Rane add depth to the production. Executive producer Milind Shingte has ensured seamless execution.

Raanti promises to be a thrilling experience as Vishnu’s relentless fight against his enemies unfolds on the big screen.
