The Pune police have taken action against Adinath Sambhaji Mate, organizer of Venkys director Balaji Rao’s birthday celebration, for violating noise pollution rules. The event, held at Kokate Vasti, Bawdhan, featured loudspeakers and LED lights that disturbed nearby residents.

Mate faces charges under various laws, including Indian Penal Code Sections 292 and 293, Noise Pollution Rules 3(1) and 4(1), Environment Protection Act 1986 Section 15 and Maharashtra Police Act Section 33(1)131.

The celebration took place from 11:30 pm on December 8 to 2:30 am on December 9. The loudspeakers and LED lights caused disturbance to nearby residents, leading to complaints. Senior Inspector Anil Vibhute confirmed the charges, and Assistant Police Inspector Mahale is investigating further.
