Pune Crime Branch Unit 6 Achieves Success in Arresting Accused within 24 Hours

On December 22, a shocking incident occurred in Wagholi, Pune, where a 44-year-old man, Kailas Ganpat Jadhav, allegedly attempted to murder his wife, Kailas Ganpat Jadhav, 40, by hitting her on the head with a stone during a domestic dispute. The accused fled the scene, leaving his critically injured wife behind.

The victim, who is currently undergoing treatment at Sassoon Hospital, is in a coma. The police have booked the accused under relevant sections, and a team led by Police Inspector Wahid Pathan was tasked with apprehending the culprit.

Utilizing technical surveillance, the team discovered that the accused had boarded the Jhelum Express from Pune Station. In a coordinated effort with the Railway Police and Manmad Railway Station Police, the team successfully apprehended the accused at Manmad Station within 24 hours of the incident.

The successful arrest was a result of the collective efforts of Police Inspector Wahid Pathan, API Kamble, PI Ramkrishna Dalvi, and other team members, including Sambhaji Sakate, Ramesh Memane, Nitin Mundhe, Kanifnath Karkhele, and others.
