Pune BJP Chief Backs Devendra Fadnavis as Next Maharashtra CM
Pune city BJP president Dhairya Ghate has expressed his support for Devendra Fadnavis to become the next Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Ghate stated that Fadnavis’s leadership was instrumental in the BJP’s success in the recent assembly elections.
Ghate’s endorsement comes after the Mahayuti alliance, led by the BJP, secured a landslide victory in the Maharashtra Assembly Elections. The BJP emerged as the largest party, winning over 120 seats.
Fadnavis, who is currently the Deputy Chief Minister, has been speculated to take over as the next CM. BJP leader Pravin Darekar hinted that Fadnavis might become the CM, saying that the largest party in the alliance has a greater chance of leading the government.
Ghate also praised Fadnavis’s leadership, saying that he was the “architect” of the BJP’s victory in the assembly elections. A ceremony was organized at the Siddhivinayak temple in Pune to pray for Fadnavis’s success, which was attended by several BJP leaders and workers.
