A tragic boat accident occurred on Wednesday evening at Pawananagar, resulting in the deaths of two individuals, Tushar Ahire and Mayur Bharsakle. The incident took place when the boat they were in capsized in the Pawana Dam reservoir.

According to the police, Ahire and Bharsakle, along with a friend, had arrived at the Lake Escape Villa bungalow, located near the reservoir, on December 4. The bungalow has a pathway leading directly to the dam. A boat named Sumati Viva was docked in the reservoir. Ahire, Bharsakle, and their friend boarded the boat, but it suddenly capsized, throwing them into the water. Unfortunately, they drowned due to the deep waters.

A complaint was filed by Ahire’s relatives at the Lonavala Rural Police Station, and a case has been registered against the bungalow owner and boat owner for negligence. The police are conducting a thorough investigation into the matter.
