The Khed Police Station has achieved a remarkable milestone by cracking a gruesome murder case. On November 14, 2024, the police apprehended the prime accused, 23-year-old Salman Abulganii Sheikh, near Sassoon Hospital at 9:30 am.

According to sources, Salman confessed to murdering his friend, Sharad Gayakwad, with a knife on November 3, 2024, at around 8:00 pm near Kharpudi Phata, Chakan. The case was registered at Khed Police Station under section 103(1) of the Indian Penal Code.

The successful operation was the result of tireless efforts by a team of dedicated officers, including Senior Police Inspector Ravindra Gayakwad, Police Inspector Sampatrao Raut, PSI Dhiraj Gupta, Swapnil Lohar, Pradeep Shitole, Dyana Bade, and Manoj Bhokre.
