Mercedes-Benz Driver Booked for Killing Dog in Pune
A shocking incident has come to light in Pune, where a Mercedes-Benz car driver intentionally ran over a dog, killing it on the spot. The incident occurred on Sunday morning at around 4:30 am near Poornima Towers in Swargate, Pune.
According to eyewitnesses, the dog, named Dogi, belonged to Arun Pawar and was a regular sight in the area. The driver of the Mercedes-Benz car, allegedly driven by Sachin Katariya, intentionally ran over the dog, causing fatal injuries.
Padmini Peter Stump, a 65-year-old resident of Bhawani Peth, filed a complaint with the Swargate police station, following which a case was registered against Katariya under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.
Assistant Police Inspector Rahul Kolambikar is investigating the case. The incident has sparked outrage among animal lovers in the city, demanding stricter action against those responsible for animal cruelty.
