Maharashtra Police Mega City Project gets Rs.600 Crore Boost

A Netherlands-based semi-government organization has invested ₹600 crore in the Maharashtra Police Mega City (MPMC) project, reviving the stalled housing initiative. This significant investment, facilitated by Rural Enhancers’ Amber Ayade and backed by Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, will complete the project.

The investment was facilitated by Rural Enhancers, led by Amber Ayade, who coordinated with the state government to secure funding. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis played a crucial role in attracting foreign investment.

The MPMC project, launched in 2010, aimed to provide housing for police personnel in Pune’s Lohegaon area. However, it was stalled since 2016 due to financial constraints.

With this investment, the project will now be completed, providing relief to police personnel who had paid ₹270 crore for their homes.
