Death of 26-Year-Old Baramati Girl Due to GBS Syndrome
Pune: A 26-year-old young woman from Baramati, named Kiran Rajendra Deshmukh, died due to GBS syndrome on Tuesday (18th February). She had been undergoing treatment for several days. Her funeral was held at Jalachi in Baramati, and her death has cast a pall of grief over the area.
Kiran had been residing in the Sinhagad area of Pune for her studies, and during this period, she contracted GBS. Relatives mentioned that several other cases of GBS had also been observed in her locality.
Kiran had completed her education up to the MCA level in Pune and was searching for a job thereafter. However, amid her job search, she fell ill with GBS. As her condition worsened, she was admitted to a hospital in Pune. Unfortunately, her condition deteriorated further, and according to Taluka Health Officer Dr. Manoj Khomane, she passed away on Tuesday (20th February).
Kiran Deshmukh’s father is a rickshaw driver, and her family faces severe financial hardships. They had submitted a petition to Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar seeking assistance for her treatment, but despite these efforts, Kiran ultimately succumbed to the illness during her treatment.
