Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar has appointed DCP Rajkumar Shinde to head Circle 5, replacing R Raja, who has been transferred to the Police Wireless, Information Technology, and Transport department as Superintendent of Police .

Previously, Shinde served as the Superintendent of the Anti-Corruption Bureau in Nanded before being transferred to Pune City Police in August 2024. Upon arrival, he was assigned to headquarters duty.

This change follows the recent transfer of several IPS officers in the Pune police force.
