DCP R. Raja Transferred, Tejaswi Satpute Posted to Arms Inspection Branch
The Maharashtra Home Department transferred several IPS officers on Friday, December 13. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) R. Raja, previously heading Circle 5, has been reassigned to the Police Wireless, Information Technology, and Transport department.
Meanwhile, DCP Tejaswi Satpute, who was earlier transferred to Pune City Police, has now been posted to the Arms Inspection Branch. Satpute was initially moved from Mumbai Police to Pune.
This development follows the transfer of Rural Police Superintendent Pankaj Deshmukh, whose replacement was DCP Sandeep Singh Gil, during the Ganpati festival. However, Deshmukh’s transfer was stayed after he approached the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), leaving Gil and Satpute without immediate posting.
