Crime Branch Unit 6 Arrests Wanted Accused with Illegal Firearm

Pune: In a significant breakthrough, the Crime Branch Unit-6 arrested Sahil Raju Sheikh, a 24-year-old wanted accused, for possessing an illegal firearm. The accused was on the run for two years in connection with a robbery case in Mumbai.

The arrest was made due to the tireless efforts of the team headed by PI Waheed Pathan under the guidance of Additional commissioner of police (Crime) Shailesh Balkawade, DCP (Crime) Nikhil Pingale, and ACP Rajendra Mulik.

Sheikh was found in possession of a country-made pistol and two live cartridges. He was wanted in connection with Crime registered under sections 394, 395, 397, 506(2), and 120(B) of the IPC at VP Road Police Station, Mumbai.

The team involved –
Police constable Ramesh Memane, Hawaldar Balasaheb Sakat, Nitin Mundhe, Kanifnath Karkhelle, Rishikesh Takwane
, Sachin Pawar, Rishikesh Vyavahare, Ganesh Dongre, Shekhar Kate, Nitin Dhadge, Suhas Tambekar, women police constables Pratiksha Pansare and Kirti Mandale.
