Pune Shocked: Wife Attacks Husband with Rolling Pin, Mixer Blade, and Bites His Toe

A disturbing incident of domestic violence has been reported in Pune’s Somwar Peth area. A 40-year-old wife allegedly attacked her 44-year-old husband with a rolling pin, mixer blade, and even bit his toe, causing severe injuries.

The incident occurred on December 1, when the wife, who was already upset, became enraged after her husband ate some sprouted beans she had soaked. The situation escalated, and the wife began hitting her husband with a rolling pin, targeting his hands, back, head, and neck.

The husband tried to defend himself, but the wife continued her assault, using the mixer blade to hit him on the head. She also bit his toe, causing further injury.

The wife’s attack was reportedly triggered by her husband’s consumption of the sprouted beans, which she had prepared for their daughter. The couple has been married for 16-17 years and has a 10th-standard daughter.

The police have registered a case against the wife under Section 325 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for voluntarily causing grievous hurt. The investigation is ongoing.

This incident highlights the growing concern of domestic violence in Pune, where cases of marital disputes and assaults are on the rise.
