Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde Hospitalized Due to Illness
Maharashtra’s caretaker Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde, has been hospitalized due to illness. He was admitted to Jupiter Hospital in Mumbai on Tuesday afternoon. Doctors have conducted several tests, including those for dengue and malaria, which have come back negative. However, Shinde is experiencing fluctuating fever, body aches, and a throat infection, prompting doctors to advise him to stay in the hospital.
As a result of his illness, Shinde has canceled all upcoming important meetings, which may impact the discussions on the formation of the state cabinet. The swearing-in ceremony of the new Mahayuti government in Maharashtra is scheduled to take place on December 5, and it is unclear whether Shinde will be able to attend.
Shinde has been suffering from a throat infection and fever since last week, and his health has been a subject of concern. Despite his illness, Shinde has been actively involved in political discussions, including the formation of the state cabinet .
