Traffic Constables’ Heroic Act Saves the Day for Expectant Mother
In a heartwarming display of promptness and compassion, two female traffic police constables, Nilam Chavan and Reshma Shaikh, helped a woman, Rajshree Madhav Waghmare, deliver a baby safely in an emergency situation. This incident occurred in Pimpri Chinchwad when Rajshree, who was on her way to Aundh Hospital for delivery, experienced severe labor pains and sought help from the officers.
Chavan and Shaikh quickly sprang into action, calling for an ambulance and rushing Rajshree to a safe location nearby. As they waited for medical help to arrive, Rajshree gave birth to a healthy baby boy. The officers ensured that both mother and baby received proper medical attention and were later taken to the hospital for further care.
This heroic act has earned Chavan and Shaikh widespread praise and recognition. The Police Commissioner and other senior officials have commended their exemplary service and dedication to duty.
