Crime Branch Nabs Externed Criminal from Wagholi
Pune Police have arrested a notorious criminal, Shyamkant Vishnu Satav, from Wagholi. Satav, a 40-year-old resident of Awhalwadi, Haveli, Pune, was externed from Pune city limits, Pune district, and Pimpri-Chinchwad for 1.5 years starting from August 12, 2024. Despite this, he was found to be residing in his home, leading to his arrest by the Crime Branch’s Unit 6 team.
The arrest was made possible due to a tip-off from Rishikesh Vyahare, who informed the police about Satav’s presence at his residence. Satav has been booked under relevant sections of the law at the Wagholi Police Station.
The successful operation was carried out under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police Nikhil Pingale, Additional Commissioner of Police Rajendra Muley, and Police Inspector Waheed Pathan. The team included Rishikesh Vyahare, Nitin Dhadge, Suhas Tambe, Ganesh Dongre, Kirti Narwade, and Pratiksha Pansare.
