Tragic Accident: Two College Students Crushed to Death by Out-of-Control Concrete Mixer Truck

Pune: In a horrific incident, two college students, Pranjali Mahesh Yadav (22) and Ashlesha Narendra Gavande (22), lost their lives when a concrete mixer truck carrying 32 tons of cement, overturned and crushed them on the Hinjewadi-Maan road on Friday evening.

The accident occurred at around 5 pm near the Vadgaon bridge when the concrete mixer truck which was speeding, lost control while taking a turn. The two students, who were riding a two-wheeler, came under the wheels of the concrete mixer truck and were killed instantly.

The police have arrested the 22-year-old concrete mixer truck driver, who was reportedly driving recklessly. The bodies of the victims were recovered from the accident site and sent for post-mortem.

The students were in their final year of science studies at the MIT College. They were returning home from college when the accident occurred.

Eyewitnesses said that the concrete mixer truckwas speeding and lost control while taking a turn. The driver’s reckless driving caused the accident, which could have been avoided.

The police are investigating the incident and have registered a case against the concrete mixer truck driver. The families of the victims have been informed about the tragic incident.

The accident has raised concerns about road safety and the need for stricter measures to prevent such incidents.
