300+ Cats Rescued from Unhygienic Conditions in Hadapsar Apartment

In a shocking discovery, over 300 cats were found living in unhygienic conditions in a 3BHK apartment in Hadapsar’s Marvel Bounty Cooperative Housing Society. The cats were not vaccinated or sterilized, and some were even pregnant.

The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), accompanied by a veterinarian and police, conducted a search following a complaint from a resident. The apartment owners, Rinku Bharadwaj and her sister Ritu Bharadwaj, have been issued a notice and asked to relocate the cats.

PETA India has condemned the act as animal hoarding, emphasizing the need for sterilization, vaccination, and proper care for the cats. The organization has urged the authorities to remove the cats from the owners’ possession to ensure their well-being.

Residents of the society have expressed concerns about the trend of harassing people in the name of animal love, stating that such behavior is insane and not representative of true animal lovers.
